Adventurous Beginners: Sew A Jumpsuit
Tuesday 25th February - Tuesday 1st April, 19.00 - 21.00
This is one of our personal favourite patterns! The Paper Theory Zadie Jumpsuit is a stylish, relaxed wrap over jumpsuit. There are no fastenings, just a tie but this means it’s a great pattern to leap into the world of adapting and adjusting a pattern to suit your preferences. You can make a long or short sleeve version.
We'll spend dedicated time teaching you how to adapt the pattern for your body. We’ll discuss the importance of body rise and making sure you’ve got good coverage in the bodice.

This course is suitable for adventurous beginners. We do ask that you can thread and use a sewing machine to take part in this course, even if you have very basic knowledge. If you think you’ll just need a quick reminder that’s fine.
If you want to take on this challenge but can’t use a sewing machine yet, book on to our Learn to Sew a Cushion or a Tote Bag workshop before you start.

This pattern works really well in woven, medium weight fabrics like cotton and linen and would look great in this pattern, as well as heavier wovens like drill or lightweight denim.
You can also use fabric with more drape like crepe, viscose twill or satin.
Using fabrics with some shine and drape can be more of a challenge.
It is also possible to make this in knit or stretch fabrics like Jersey but the binding technique around the neck is trickier, increasing the difficulty of the project.
We also have a selection of fabrics and trims in the studio which you can purchase from us.All sewing tools and equipment provided but you’re welcome to bring your machine if you’d like to use it in class.
