This class will set you up to continue your sewing adventure at home or tackle one of our dressmaking classes. Let the fun begin!

  • How to thread a sewing machine

    How to wind a bobbin

How to sew a hem and finish seams neatly

How to use a simple pattern

How to apply basic sewing skills to make a tote bag or an envelope cushion

  • For absolute beginners who have never used a sewing machine before.

  • You'll need 1m x 1m woven fabric, such as mid-weight cotton, linen, canvas, etc. You can also purchase this from us on the day.

All sewing tools and equipment will be provided. You are however welcome to bring your own machine to practice on if you prefer.

We’ll also provide you with cushion inserts if you opt to sew the cushion cover.

  • £45
