Online Classes
We're offering some live video classes whilst we are in lockdown, these will be updated every week. These are suitable for adults and children.
(We ask that you supervise your children when they are on the video chat.) If you just want some advice with sewing you are working on at home remember we are also running our Sewing Surgeries
at the usual times.
Make A Sunglasses Case
Thursday 4th June 5 - 6pm
Join us to learn how to make your own designer sunglasses case! You can use fabric or leather. We have 2 different versions for you to try and we'll send you a pattern and guide you through it via video lesson. No experience necessary. (You will need a sewing machine if you want to make a fabric on, or patience to sew it by hand.)
£5, get in touch if you would like to join! It will be hosted on Skype. We can show you machine and hand sewing techniques.
If you want to make a fabric or leather case but don't have any you can purchase some from us the studio, let us know! If you're local you can pick up or we can deliver.

Handy Visible Mending Techniques

This week want to show you few fab hand sewn techniques anyone can try to get into visible mending from darning your socks to sashiko stitching your jeans. Bring along your broken items and we can share stories about the items and choose the best way for you to start your slow and mindful repair. Make A Cushion Cover

We've been asked by a few people for this one! So we will show you how to make an envelope cushion cover (and some simple decoration techniques.) The 40 minute class will consist of us showing you what to do for around 20 - 25 minutes. Then the rest of the time will be for questions and if you like to get started.
The class will include written instructions sent to your inbox and we can also send you the recording of the class so you can watch again.

This new freestyle class is for those students who are working on their own projects at home. We wanted to give our regular students a chance to catch up with friends, make new ones and ask Jaime any sewing questions you might have or, you might want to pop along to get some inspiration and get your sewjo back! £5, if we have enough interest we will do a session every week.
