Children’s freestyle sewing saturday

Monthly sessions (see dates below)

Treat your child to hours of sewing fun! They’ll get stuck into sewing, crafting and designing projects to instill a sense of confidence and pride. Regardless of their ability, they’ll leave with new knowledge and progress on projects appropriate to their skill level.

This is a great extracurricular activity that will give your child transferable life skills. They’ll learn to use a sewing machine and discover loads of other craft and design techniques including: appliqué, embroidery, free machining, dressmaking, pattern cutting, and much, much more!

  • We have two sessions running between 9.30 - 12.30 and 13.15 - 16.15 on the following dates:

    Saturday 7th December
    Saturday 18th January
    Saturday 1st February
    Saturday 15th February
    Saturday 1st March
    Saturday 15th March
    Saturday 5th April

  • Open to children in Year 2 and above.

These sessions are suitable for all levels of ability, can be a great extra help for GSCE and A level work and can go towards D of E skills.

They can also serve as a taster to see if your child would like to sign up for our After School Club or Holiday Classes

  • Each child will tackle a project of their choosing, individually guided by one of our friendly and experienced teachers. We have a huge range of projects on offer so they can choose to make something they will love and cherish for years to come.

Some of our projects include: cuddlies, bags, t-shirts, skirts, trousers, cushions the list goes on…

  • All materials and equipment provided, although children are welcome to bring their own.

Our studio is packed with fabric and haberdashery , many of which are reused and recycled.

  • Please note, unlike Holiday Class sessions we can not offer childcare in between the morning and afternoon class.

All our teachers are DBS checked.

  • £26.50 for 3 hours of freestyle sewing.
